Peskov says Russia strictly complies with energy exports obligations

MOSCOW, Jun 23 (PRIME) -- Russia complies with all its energy supply obligations and values its business reputation, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Thursday.

“Russia fulfils all its obligation strictly. And being a very reliable energy supplier to Europe that has been working for decades, of course, Russia values the reputation a lot,” he said.

The Financial Times reported that Germany fears Russia could take advantage of annual maintenance on its trunk export pipeline Nord Stream to shut off gas supplies to the country completely, increasing the risk of a winter energy crisis in Europe’s largest economy.
